Disclaimer and comments policy
Welcome to my blog. I hope you’ll find my opinions interesting even if you don’t agree with them.
Disclaimer
Please don’t take my opinions about privacy law as legal advice and act on them because I don’t have a law qualification and, be warned, an Appeal Panel said “ALZ’s alternative construction lacked merit” (ALZ v SafeWork NSW [2017] NSWCATAP 51 (9 March 2017), [35]).
I am not responsible for anything that goes wrong if you do.
(The above mentioned Appeal Panel also (in breach of the statutory injunction in section 33 of the Interpretation Act 1987 (NSW)) chose constructions of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW) that did not promote the purpose of the Acts over a construction that did promote their purposes. See ‘Lawful collection IPP and HPP’.)
Comments policy
I’m really interested in other people’s ideas about privacy law but I moderate (and may edit) comments because it’s important to me that they are respectful and on topic. I’ll be as quick as I can.
I won’t publish your comments if you ask me not to.
